WANTED !!! Canola seed in bulk

Postby BMW Fan » Fri Mar 21, 2008 5:46 am

I run a 3-ton COLD oil press and I am looking for
Canola oil seed delivered to Nova Scotia.
Other seeds may be an option.
or
if a Farmer in the West of Canada wants to co-op I may move my press.

Ideas ???

Do you have a link to where I might get a press? I am a farmer and can see the wvo becoming more difficult to find as more people get into this.

You are absolutely right.
My problem... I can't get enough seed at a decent price in Nova Scotia.
I have no link for a press in Michigan, sorry

BMW, its Klaus right?

Could you do a primer on pressing seeds for us or point us to one. I am intrested in doing this myself. My thoughts are to grow Jatropha and press seeds for heating my warhouse gymnasium business

Wonderful, George, good for the environment.

I can do the seeds for you if wanted.
How many tons are you shipping?

Klaus
PS : I had copied that from a Jathropa promotian page :

Nothing drives innovation like need.
The results of a number of experiments and trials have given us a big break through
Finally we got it
The couple crop has been identified, tried and tested
A revolutionary mile stone: Great Success!!!
Emergence of the combination crop system may change the entire scenario of the biodiesel industry
Ø The twin oil crop in the same acreage of the land
Ø Both non- food but one can feed
Ø Both requires low inputs
Ø Both hardy, drought resistant and pest resistant
Ø Double the output
1 ha: how much oil; Hold your breath
It is 1350 gallon; Unbelievable?
You believe it or not but, it is very true
We shall release the commercial cultivation of the couple crop very shortly

I didn't think there would be a press website in Michigan. In fact, the cheaper ones are made in China. I was just hoping you would be able to direct me to the name of a few manufactures. I will have to look at some of my old Farm Show magazines there were links to manufacturer's there.

I found the 18 ton/day $14,850 press interesting.
What could I get for my press then.
Comes with Motor, control panel, heated drum, vacuum filter
Maybe I should sell or barter for oil in return :)
That' s how my press loos like.

Klaus, why don't you post a link to your site?

You can export a seed press to GreenLeafFarms in Michigan, can't you?

Jeff ,

sure I can put my new web adress behind every post.
From the point of advertising and selling it makes perfect sense.
Sure I can sell to the US.
But I am not selling oil presses.
It just happened that I imported one for myself.
She sits idle at the moment because I don't have a good supply of seeds.
I thought it be better not to push anything.
But I said : Maybe I should sell or barter for oil in return :)

It might be someone realizes that I am willing to part with my press
and it was you helping me.

Hopefully someone will buy your press. I'd rather buy one from you than from a total stranger.
