In need of a filter/fuel pump near pensacola, fl.

Postby jordanmills » Sat Mar 22, 2008 9:59 am

So I'm on a trip to see my brother who is stationed near pensacola, fl. My two tank system isn't working quite right - I'm pretty sure my VO filter is just too small to pass VO fast enough to keep the engine going (she'll idle and go slow fine, but anything over 35 mph leads to fuel starvation). If anyone has a spare, I'd love to buy a bigger filter and/or better fuel pump off you. Zooman has some kind of huge (like 16" long) fuel filters with his veggiestroke that he got at a tractor supply store, which I can't find around here, but I think that will help me. I'll be here through Monday, and would really like to not drive 500 miles back on pump diesel. Any help appreciated.

Emailed you too but putting responce on here as well.

IMHO- while your wish for a fuel pump for this quick trip is in the works.. go thru and check all connections etc. and or move your existing fuel pump back by the fuel tank if its a 12v.

My guess is you got a air leak. Your symptoms are typical of that.

You could also try a second pump back by the tank to assist your other one.

Good luck on your hunt.

Assume your bro is at Egland or the P-Cola Naval Air Station. Tell him thanks for his service!!!!
