anyone else here runnin a 2 tank system on an 06 cummins? I have been for about 60000 miles. Well the first 20000 just blending,FCA went bad, i think i was running too high % of wvo. possibly not cleaning good enough at the time. Ive since gotten a dc cf and it works good.

Good to hear the CF is working good. Whats the FCA? Did you or a shop tear it apart to see why it failed?

a Fuel Control Actuator (fca) its on the front of the cp3 ip on 3rd gens. it lets fuel in to the ip, and it does 3 things cools cp3, returns extra fuel to tank and it also supplies the rail w fuel. thats as good as i can explain it. I think i wasnt cleaning my oil enuf at first

the fca was a common problem i think for a while on these newer common rails. my trk would act like the cruise was stuk on even when i wasnt using the cruise. I had to push the brakes hard to stop it or i would have to go wot for a sec to get it to slow down. scared the poo poo out of me the first time it happened. dealer said that was a common symptom of the fca. I thught the lil metering cylinder inside the fca was gummed up causing the problem.
