I saw one guy use the above pump with good results on his bioD processor. I am looking for a cheap pump for my first go around with my filter rig. Anyone use this pump?

I am not planning on using this pump for a centrifuge.

That was my first pump two years ago.
For its price it's great but it's NOT self priming.
It pumped well with cold and hot oil.

its ok that it is not self priming. I am planning on mounting it below the barrel so gravity should keep it primed. Why did you change out the pump? Did it die or were you just looking for something that moved more vol?

Pumps with the larger impellers and housings are far better with Veg oil.
These smaller Impeller " turbo" style pumps don't get anywhere near the " grip" in the oil the larger Impeller ones do.

Plenty of people use this style pump and they do work however my friends and I have found the larger impeller style just work so much better.

Mine choked on cold VO, but it was fairly thick. It's awesome with hot VO though.
