I have some friends that want to blend 50/50 wvo and diesel all have different trucks one a 2000 f250 Ford one a 2000 dodge 2500 and one a 2004 chevy 2500 any ideas or problems with these? And what about cleaning plastic tanks? Do these have the same type of probs with the waxy build up?

50/50 with no thinners is a faily vicious blend. later model IP's are desined to run on ULSD which is fairly thin. I've had no problems with my tanks so far, I just ran some startron on 100% diesel before making the switch

Put a fuel pressure guage and alarm on the Dodge since it has a VP44 IP which will die if the pressure goes below 5psi. Ford and Chevy have expensive injectors which are easy to damage. The duramax has had many injector troubles even on D2. I wouldn't blend in them if they are still in warranty.

I have had no problems with any of my tanks, and no cleaning.

If you blend in lower %'s with no mods and fill up on 100% diesel before you take your truck in, you can fool most dealerships. This has been my experience anyway. This is also another reason I don't blend 50/50, 25-30% is my limit and it still saves a lot of money at the pump.
