A Cim-Tek WVO specific filter?

Postby mortarsprayer » Sun Aug 03, 2008 12:33 pm

Hello Everyone.
I am getting down to the last parts to order for my conversion. In the past posts and on Sun's conversion page I see he is real happy with Cim-Tek.
I found that they also have a 2 micron filter that says it is ok for B20.

Would it be the best choice on the WVO filter?

Thank you,
Nolan

Any of them will be fine for VO. The best choice just depends on what micron rating and how large of filter you want. The water block feature isn't worth the extra money since it doesn't work with VO.

Thank you Sun.
I will stay the course and stick with the Cim-Tek-200.

Are you now using the 2 micron filters instead of the 10?.

Thank you.
I'll order the last parts tomorrow.

Have you had any problem with your sending unit in your WVO tank?

Are these filters for the vehicle or between the pump from storage and the tank.

I am using a cimtek 2 micron to filter what goes into my tank and a Donaldson P55 11001 in the vehicle itself.

It would seem that the $16 or so I am paying for Donaldson or Fleetmatic filters does not provide any added value over the $8 Cimtek?

Allgrownup- If you want to keep the filter mounting heads, find a cross reference chart ( like the the catalog at www.wixfilters.com etc) ) consider buying filters at www.filter1.com .
