Guys.....
I am having trouble with fouling my fuel filter at 800-1000 miles. I am using Soy/canola oils. I settle the oil for about a week or so then use my OC 50 for 10-12 hours. I heat the oil to 160 dregees or so. I figure more hours are better with CF can't hurt. I blend my oil with 10% RUG. using Marvel mystery oil, RXP, Soltron, Lucas Cylinder lub, .

I know since I don't have glow plugs with my truck..... I'v had to use my block heater to get my truck started.

anyone got any comments please ? would like to extend my filter life if I can. at this point it costing my about $0.02/ mile for filters.........all in all , since my oil if free ....... not a bad cost!

I am new to WVO but I could be come better with some help.

Hi Major, I put over 600,000 km on a '95 Dodge Cummins turbo, a great engine. Used up 3 transmissions. I couldnt have started mine without the glow plugs and the intake air preheater. I never managed to run VO in the truck, but know that changing the fuel filter is an awkward job. Good luck.

YOu say your new at it so Im guessing you have only changed your filters at this intraval at least twice. I suspect your next couple intravals will be further apart.

Thinking that your cleaning out your tanks and fuel lines with your blend and this is what is plugging your filters.

I assume you have both an inline filter for larger stuff then another filter on the engine for smaller stuff?

in my 03 cummins after about 4000 miles of wvo blend my filter now last 10,000 miles. fitst 4000 miles i changed it 3 times. the wvo is a solvent and cleans out the fuel system lines and tank, sounds normal to me. are u filtering down to 2 microns???
