Water heating element Questions

Postby stickman8513 » Fri Oct 24, 2008 11:23 am

So I got a low density Water heating element and was hoping that it would thread into the 1.25 cross I have <ball> but it seems as if my heating element is not 1.25 but a 1in thread.....should i have gotten 1in cross? or is a bushing going to be ok? Thanks I tried to get ifo on this by looking at the dieselcraft thread but it says NOTHING about reducer fitting bushing for 1.25 to 1in <at>so I'm not sure what I got wrong....

Yes you need a bushing. And you will need an oring like mentioned in the dieselcraft thread, or another way to seal the threads since the heater elements don't match pipe threads exactly.
