in winter, i pretty much have to block 80% of the radiator to get safe temps.. initial switchover will always be cold because you have to burn whats in the line between FPHE and IP before you get hot stuff. i get to 160F about 5 minutes after switchover, and am measuring temp right at the banjo bolt of the injection pump via an aluminum block i machined. the looped return is what boosts the temp that last 15 degrees.
