Up Flow questions

Postby tubular031 » Wed May 13, 2009 12:54 pm

I think I am going to try one out.

In Johns write up he says it works best at below 65 degrees but with summer right around the corner, we are going to be seeing 80 to 100 degree days soon. How well does the upflow system work in higher temps?

I am not too interested in taking out the fats (my oil has little to none) I am mainly interested in getting the water out since my frybird still is not working as well as i thought it would.

As stated in the discussion, the main reason for cold upflow is to remove the fats and HO which can be problematic in our cold climate when using VO in fuel blends.
Included in the upflow discussion is a description of a heated upflow, which answers your question.
