fphe male or female threads?

Postby gary » Thu Jun 25, 2009 2:57 pm

Sun, the fphe I am considering off ebay is a 30 plate with 3/4 male threads for about 100 delivered. should I stick with 1/2 female threads?

Female takes less fittings which saves about $10, and makes it fit into a smaller space. I see a 30 plate on ebay for $85 shipped with female thats better:

I'm looking for a source for FEMALE threaded 90's swivel connectors for a FPHE. The nuts tighten down over the threads but allows the 90 degree barbed pipe to swivel to any position.

Mine was a cheap buy off an eBay wholesaler for solar water heating parts.
$60 shipped, 16 plate with male threads. The extra fittings make room for my temp gauge sensors and my goldenrod filter. Fits like a puzzle peace.
