Hi all, new here from the uk :)

I have a 1.7td isuzu vauxhall corsa (engine is from a early 1995 astra)

im running a twin tank regenatec kit (smartveg supplied)

Im currently running the second tank as VO and the original diesel tank as diesel.

the main diesel tank return has been blocked off.

and the vo tank has a return.

question is would i be better looping the VO Return?

When i flush the system where would this flush to?

as you can see im a bit confused :) i done this install myself (somehow) :lol:

That depends on your plumbing, a diagram is the best way to explain. For example, mine:
On purge the VO goes back the VO supply line to the tank.
YVORMV - Your veg. oil results may vary.
95 Dodge Cummins 4x4 SVO WVO conversion.
81 Mercedes 300D- stock and happy on V80/D20 blend.
Low fossil net zero house- 100% solar power and heat.

As sunwizard has mentioned, it depends upon your plumbing. The looped system is by far the best for 2 reasons:

1. It isnt recommended to return hot oil to the tank.
2. Sending warm unused VO from the return stream back for another pass helps achieve a full 160*F fuel temp more reliably.

With this design, you need an additional switching valve in the VO return stream like this:

[IP + injectors] -->return -->[Return valve]--> a)Diesel tank b) VO return

a)factory return to fuel tank.
b)VO Return to Next Switching valve.

[next valve] ---> a) back to VO tank. b) Looped back prior to FPHE and hopefully prior to Lift pump to be in vaccum.

When you activate purge, the 'next valve' closes to route to VO tank. Use this also when changing filters to send air in fuel stream back to tank.
